I'm trying to recall the last trance track that got my blood pumping to the same degree as 'Exordium'. There certainly hasn't been one this year. Leinonen might have a bit of an on/off approach to trance (this is his first in two years), but when he pays out, he pays out big. 'Exordium' daisy-chains furiously catchy chord progressions and suffusing pads with a flawless, unflinchingly euphoric riff and then lets it all rip with mercury-popping results.
